Robert Abrahams

He is licensed to practice law in the State of Maryland and the District of Columbia. While working for the State of Maryland as an attorney and as an Assistant Attorney General in the Department of General Services Office of Real Estate, Robert Abrahams honed his skills in the commercial real estate arena. His experience includes the examination of title, the preparation and review of deeds and documents for the real estate settlements for the Ravens’ and Orioles’ stadiums and the African American Museum. He has worked on some of the largest acquisitions of Real Estate for many agencies for the State of Maryland, including the Maryland Stadium Authority, Department of Natural Resources Deep Creek Lake Buydown project, Department of Agriculture’s Agriculture Easement Land Preservation Foundation Program and the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. Robert Abrahams is a master at identifying and resolving title issues. During his career, he has settled hundreds of millions of dollars in commercial real estate for the State of Maryland and is a 2006 recipient of a Governor’s Citation for invaluable service to the State of Maryland.

Miranda Murdoch
Principal/Attorney

Murdoch, the president and one of the principals of Granite Title Associates, Inc., graduated from Loyola College of Maryland cum laude with a Bachelor’s of Arts degree. She continued her education at The University of Baltimore School of Law were she received a Juris Doctor degree in 1991. Later that year, Miranda was admitted to the Maryland State Bar.
Working in the real estate industry seems natural for Miranda as two of her grandparents and both of her parents choose careers in real estate. Even before practicing real estate law, Miranda worked in the real estate field as a secretary part-time while in college and later as a title processor before starting law school.
Miranda has taught real estate law courses for paralegals at the community college level.
Having worked as an attorney for several title companies before founding Granite Title Associates, Inc., Miranda now is a key player in the leadership and overall vision of company in addition to overseeing the daily operations of Granite Title Associates, Inc. She is responsible for underwriting compliance, quality control, funding, employee training, and numerous aspects of internal review.

John Shapiro
Principal/Business Development

John has over 15 years of experience in the real estate industry as a real estate agent, advertising executive and title producer. An avid business networker, John regularly attends a networking group and various networking events. He also oversees many Human Resource aspects of Granite Title.

He has been involved in every aspect of the business including Marketing, Customer Service, Processing, and Closings. Bob sees the value of outstanding customer service and makes this his highest priority. He sees to it that his clients and their borrowers experience the best settlement service possible and will do whatever it takes to accomplish this.
Bob is an affiliate member of the Greater Baltimore Board of Realtors and the National Association of Mortgage Brokers. He uses these resources to obtain as much knowledge about the lending business as he can to help understand his clients and serve them even better.

Tom Cunningham

Tom started his career in Real Estate in 2001 at a large Title Company/Law Firm in Downtown Baltimore. While there he perfected his skills and knowledge of the Title Industry by processing title and as a licensed Settlement Officer and Notary Public for the State of Maryland closing both refinances and purchase transactions. Tom is now a knowledgeable Title Professional and continues to work hard in this field and for Granite Title.
Jill Fennekohl
Settlement Officer
jfennekohl-AT-granitetitelinc.comJill Fennekohl joined Granite Title as an Account Executive. A native Baltimorean and national college soccer champion, Jill holds a BA in Accounting.
Jill has extensive experience in the Title Industry and has served clients in the Baltimore area and surrounding counties for many years.
Jill has combined her accounting background and entrepreneurial spirit to create a strong following among her clients. She is an active member of the Greater Baltimore Board of Realtors, Women’s Council of Realtors and Baltimore City Chamber of Commerce and resides in Baltimore County where she enjoys raising her beautiful 9 year old daughter.

Maria’s bilingual abilities allow her to address her clients in both English and Spanish. She also enjoys assisting loan officers and Realtors by designing individualized marketing materials and newsletters for them. Maria currently holds a Title Producer’s license and is a notary for the State of Maryland.

A graduate of Loyola College in Maryland, she began her real estate career working for a property protection and preservation company providing a wide range of services to the Department of Housing and Urban Development and numerous lending institutions. She has since worked in the title industry for approximately four years. A licensed Title Agent and Notary Public for the State of Maryland, she has honed her skills and knowledge in reviewing/clearing title, preparing title commitments, sorting through judgments, researching Land Records and scrutinizing corresponding legal documents of record.
Neil Fennekohl

He started as a loan officer for a local mortgage banker in 2000 and two years later made the move to the title field. Neil learned the business from the ground up, handling all aspects of a real estate settlement including processing files, conducting closings and handling post closing duties. Over the last three years Neil has managed a title company, handling all responsibilities including: underwriting compliance, quality control, funding and overseeing daily operations. Neil is a member of several networking groups and regularly attends networking functions. He has maintained a Maryland Insurance Producer License since 2006 and is a notary public. In his free time Neil enjoys the company of his wife and two year old daughter and is also a musician.
Michael Nealis

A 10 year advertising sales veteran, he began his real estate career writing advirtisements for many Real Estate Brokers in his time with The Baltimore Sun and The Catholic Review. It was at this time that he learned how to cater to the Real Estate Brokerss needs. As a licensed Title Agent and Notary Public for the state of Maryland, he has honed his skills and knowledge in customer service at the settlement table. Mike is one of the best at keeping the mood light and the settlement moving at a quick and comfortable pace.

Morenike Oyenusi

Her lengthy and sophisticated experience includes representing the Maryland Port Administration and the University System of Maryland as an Assistant Attorney General; working with the leading developer, The Rouse Company (now General Growth) in Columbia, Maryland; practicing with leading law firms in Nigeria and England; and working with title companies. She is a member of the Maryland, New York and Nigerian Bars.
Morenike graduated in 1984 at the top of her class with a law degree from the University of London, and in 1986 as Master of Law from the University of Cambridge, England. She also passed the Solicitors’ Final Examinations of England and Wales with First Class Honors. In 2000, the Maryland Port Administration gave Morenike a Team Award for work done to buy a property with significant, complex environmental and bankruptcy issues; and in 2001, Morenike received an Exceptional Service Award from the Attorney General of Maryland. Morenike lives in Baltimore with her husband Adetunji and their three children.

Quality settlement services are evidenced in the attention to detail shown in the review of the title order, examination of title report, and preparation of the commitment and settlement sheet. Nancy demonstrates her commitment to quality settlement services when she develops relationships with clients, picks up the phone to personally request a necessary document, and when she uses her years of experience to conduct a smooth settlement.
Nancy does not see her position with Granite Title as a 9-5 job. Instead, she continues to perfect her settlement process as a committee member for the Real Estate Brokers, Inc. Nancy actively participates in various community projects designed to educate first time home buyers about the process of homeownership and turn their dreams into reality. She is currently developing materials for a course offering Realtors an alternative source to obtain their continuing education classes.
Nancy is experienced in settling both Forward Mortgage Loan and Reverse Mortgage Loan transactions.

Starting as an assistant at a title company, Dawn learned every department from the ground up. She became the team leader responsible for processing many loans per month. Steve Corbitt, A Licensed Title Product and Sales and Marketing Representative, graduated from Towson University with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology. A long time Baltimore resident, he is the oldest of 12 children and a father of one. Steve is an enthusastic people person who started as a sales represenative in the hospitality industry and went on to own and manage his own restaurant.
